Isabel's Famous Tiramisu
Besides their to die for panoramas, sparkling culture, impeccable passion and seriously chilled approach to life we cannot disregard Italy for it’s delicious tasting food.
Behold, Isabel's Famous Tiramisu.
Ingredients:
6 Eggs
12 Tablespoons Castor Sugar
1kg Mascarpone
2x packets of Saviardi biscuits
500ml fresh coffee
Coffee Liqueur (amount to pour depending on mood)
2x cadbury Flakes to sprinkle over top
The Steps:
- Separate eggs (i.e. egg whites in one bowl, egg yolk in another)
- Use coffee percolator to make approx 500ml of coffee
- Beat the egg whites with half of the sugar until it turns into a stiff like meringue
- Beat the egg yolks with the remainder of the sugar until its fluffy
- Add 500grams of mascarpone to each mixture
- Make a layer of the two mixtures on the bottom of the dish (don’t get greedy, you want to save ALOT)
- Add coffee liquor to your coffee
- Place saviardi biscuits which have been lightly dipped into the coffee into dish to form the base
- Make layers with mixture using the biscuits to separate the layers
- Leave enough mixture for top layer
- Crush cadbury Flake over the top layer
- Refrigerate
